I was introduced to this place by my Nigerian brother in law. He loves it and now it's a staple for me too! Their Jollof rice and suya is BOMB! The owner is really sweet and the food is incredible! Not too much seating, so I would definitely take it to go. It also conveniently located across from West Oakland BART.

First time trying Nigerian food and wow the food is good. It took me some time to get used to the texture of the fufu but I got it. From pulling a piece of fufu to dipping it into the soup and swallowing it whole, is such an interesting experience. Blessed to try foods from different cultures. We ordered both Egusi and Ox tail soup, and they were hot and flavorful. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly. Ahhh the meat just falls off the bone. Not much space to dine but great for take out and bring home to eat!

It was my first time trying Egusi soup, fufu, and jollof rice - and this place did not disappoint! The owner was very kind and gave me more fufu than usual. Omg, the flavors were flavoring!! It tasted a lot like the Filipino stews I grew up eating, except that this was heavily spiced. Although the egusi was a little oil ladened, I did not feel lethargic afterwards- which is usually the case for me personally when I have oily foods. I was glad to have enjoyed a heavily vegetal cuisine. The oxtails were gas too!! My favorite thing was the jollof rice. The interior isn't much but there is seating and feels homey, like I'm eating in someone's dining room. I'm excited to come back!
